Sullivan Square

  • Roadwork will continue at D Street, Alford Street, and in the Sullivan Square Rotary.
  • This work will include pavement marketings and catch basin cleaning.
  • The work will require sequenced lane shifts as well as off-peak lane closures.

Route 16

  • Work will continue at Sweetser Circle.
  • This work will include sidewalk, curb, and landscaping installation and pavement marking installation on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights.
  • The proposed day work zones will require the closure of small lengths of outside travel lanes and medians for short durations.
  • Nighttime work will require lane closures and sequenced lane shifts.
  • Work will continue at Wellington Circle.
  • This work will include casting adjustment and paving on Monday through Thursday nights.
  • The proposed day work zones will require the closure of small lengths of outside travel lanes and medians for short durations.
  • Nighttime paving work will require lane closures and sequenced lane shifts.

Alford Street/Broadway (Route 99)

  • Roadwork will continue along Broadway.
  • This work will include sign, sidewalk, and landscape installation, traffic signal work, and pavement marking installation.
  • The work will require short term lane closures and some lane shifting may be required.
  • On Broadway, two travel lanes southbound will be maintained during morning peak hours and two travel lanes northbound will be maintained during afternoon peak hours.
  • Roadwork will continue along Dexter Street and Robin Street.
  • This work will include sidewalk and curb installation.
  • Robin Street and Dexter Street work zones will require one lane alternating traffic as needed Monday through Saturday.
  • Final roadway paving will take place starting on Sunday night from the intersection of Broadway/Alford Street at Dexter Street through Dexter Street and Robin Street and ending at the intersection of Robin Street at Beacham Street.
  • This work will take two nights and is weather dependent.
  • The work will require lane closures and limit overnight access to Dexter Street and Robin Street.

 
EVERSOURCE TRAFFIC UPDATE – Information Provided by Eversource

  • CHELSEA
    • Eversource crews will be digging for the installation of a new vault and conduit trenching between Market Street and Spruce Street during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
    • Additionally, crews will be on Willow Street installing conduit between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
  • EVERETT
    • Eversource will be excavating for a jacking pit to cross the railroad during day shifts on Beacham Street Monday, May 20th through Friday, May 24th between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
    • Additionally, crews will be trenching on Beacham Street from the Chelsea line heading southwest during day time hours.
    • Crews will also be present on Robin Street from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. inspecting conduit.
    • Police details will be present and there will be a single lane closure.
  • BOSTON
    • Eversource crews will be digging, trenching, and installing conduit on Alford Street in Boston between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Monday, May 20th through Thursday, May 23rd.
    • Crews will also be present on Alford Street from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. inspecting conduit.
    • Police details will be present and there will be a single lane closure.

  • This work will include installing pavement markings.

    • Additionally, crews will be relocating a water shut-off valve for a hydrant on Beacham Street and will install conduit and backfill during the hours of 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
    • Eversource will be on Willow Street in Chelsea digging trenching and conducting road repairs between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
  • EVERETT
    • Eversource will be excavating for a jacking pit to cross the railroad during day shifts on Beacham Street Monday, May 13th through Friday, May 17th between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
    • Additionally, crews will be conducting road repairs on Beacham Street from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Crews will also be present on Robin Street from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. inspecting conduit. 
    • Police details will be present and there will be a single lane closure.

    • Police details will be present and there will be a single lane closure.
